I’m A Rider, Podcaster, and Writer
Regina Schinker
When palomino pony Buttercup arrived at my home on September 15, 1978 (yes, I remember the exact date), a lifelong love of horses began. I am an exhibitor, an equine podcaster, a partner in an equine media company, and an aspiring equine author.

What I Do…
Ride
Through the years, I have shown 4-H, Open, PHBA, AMHR/ASPC, AQHA, PtHA, and APHA. I have earned multiple World Titles.
Record
Learn a little, laugh a little and enjoy the Horse Industry Podcast as my BFF Lynn and I explore the “stories of the industry.”
Write
Having spent my career reading & writing in the academic world, I am embarking on a new adventure: writing a blog, articles, & books!
about me
I have my Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Organizational Analysis. I have worked in higher education administration, instructional design, and as a professor for almost 20 years.
My husband, Chris, and I, live on ancestral land along the St. Joseph River in Michigan. On our small farm, we spend time with our dogs, barn cats, horses, and Brahma show chickens. Our entire family is involved in creating and protecting the habitat for the migrating Monarch butterfly on our farm.
The Lucky Pony Society
While many equestrians are fortunate to be able to own, ride, and show amazing horses, the love and appreciation for our first ponies is something that we will never forget.
The purpose of The Lucky Pony Society is to create a place to celebrate our first ponies. Our goal is to honor first ponies and memorialize them before their stories are lost. Every pony deserves to have his or her story told.
