My 1st Book (EVER)
From the words of 8-year-old me…
Chapter 1: A Pony for Sale
Have you ever had a pony?
Well now my story begins.
When I was eight years old I wanted a pony but I didn’t have enough money. So I saved up money. One day I went to the fair. We looked for some ponies but we were out of luck.
That was going on for days until we saw a pony for sale. I got to ride it. My mother said we probably won’t buy it but I said, “How do you know?”
My mom said, “I know.”
I was really down ever since my mother said that.
And my mom said, “We’ll think about it.”
Chapter 2: Buttercup
We came back the next day and looked over the pony.
My mom and dad talked it over for a minute. Then they came back with an answer. They said yes. I was so happy. She was like my pony my pony and not even paying for her.
I asked them what her name was, and they said “Buttercup.”
All that day, I kept thinking of her. I didn’t go on any rides.
And when we came home, I couldn’t keep her off my mind.
Chapter 3: Buttercups Home
We went to the fair again. And I asked when she’d be at my house. They said on Wednesday.
I waited and waited until it was time.
I saw a horse trailer but it wasn’t their’s. The next one was their’s. I ran in to tell my mom. We both ran out to see her. She was so pretty.
I got to ride her when she got to my house. It was fun. I rode her to about 9:00.
Chapter 4: A Barn for Buttercup
I had to show her the barn. She really liked the pen and when she got in the pasture with the other horses she went crazy.
Shiloh our other horse liked her but Jippy did not. They had a big fight. Buttercup won and Jippy didn’t.
Buttercup went back to the barn to eat.
Chapter 5: Hard Work
All summer Buttercup had to be worked for horse shows and boy was she worked. An hour a day and she got real sweaty.
The reason why I had to work her is because I had to got to horse shows. Buttercup likes horse shows.
The next day was a horse show and Buttercup was excited.
Chapter 6: Shows for Buttercup
We had to wash her and keep her clean. It was hard work.
Finally it was time to go.
We had to put her in the horse trailer and tie her up.
Now I was excited.
Because my pony and I were friends forever.
The end.
